I KNOW, I KNOW.....FINALLY!!!!

Ok, I'm really sorry I have been so out of touch. I have been busy. Excuses, Excuses..right?!? Really, I have been quite preoccupied and just plain tired. So many new things have happened. I have a new job! I'm really excited and I started last Monday. It's a sales job for a staffing service here in Mississippi. It's great! The only downside is that my baby girl is in daycare now. UGH! But, she's starting to get use to it and I think she's actually liking it....well, kind of. She likes to play with the other babies and talk to them. I wonder what she's saying to them? Addison is getting so big. She can now clap, say bye-bye and she's walking all over the place. I can't believe she's 10 months old now. Where did the time go? They really DO grow up too fast. Visits from up north

"My Aunt Susan, Uncle Bob and Cousin Kaitlin came to visit me. I really liked playing with them. I showed them all of my toys in my room. We also sang songs while daddy played the guitar. I like the Ladybug Song. It's my favorite."

Grandma Ross came to visit!

Addison is clapping alot lately. She is also walking all over the place. We counted 21 steps the other day and then she fell down. She also waves "Bye Bye". She's so darn cute!!! Here she is clapping. I'm so proud.

The Oscars in Mississippi 2007

Ok, so I didn't end up sitting in front of the T.V. by myself with a margarita in hand. There were about 20 women who showed up at my front door. All of which had never been to an Oscar party and really didn't know what to expect. Well, they had a great time and we're going to definitely make this an annual event. I must tell you, though, that I was a bit sad that night. I really miss all of my girlfriends in Illlinois. It just wasn't the same without all of them. I have met really nice women down here and we're having a good time but I just wish I could have had all of the Illinois gals down here with me. I miss you all!!!
The hostesses - Julie, Anne-Marie and Me. I invited everyone I knew and they invited all of their friends. Thanks for helping me with the party and introducing me to your friends, Anne Marie and Julie!!
The food!! Artichoke dip, BBQ Chicken chopped dip, Cheeseballs galore, Mexican layer dips, Chocolate covered Strawberries and Anne Maries Oreo Truffles were just some of the finger foods we had. YUM!

OSCAR, OSCAR ! ! ! !

When I lived in Illinois my friend Heidi and I started having an Oscar party at my house. Yes, I'm talking about the Academy Awards. It was a women only party and the dress code was evening wear as if you were actually attending the Oscars. We had everything from the red carpet for them to walk on to the Oscar awards and acceptance speeches. The first year was a success so we made it an annual event. After the second year I found out I was moving to Mississippi. :( The awards this year are next Sunday, February 25th. I have only been in Mississippi for 6 months but I'm attempting to throw an Oscar party here. I'm inviting every woman I've ever met or come in contact with. We'll see how it goes. Here are some of the pictures from the Oscar party I had in Illinois (2005 and 2006). It was soooo much fun!!! Let's hope people actually show up to my party this year or I may be sitting in front of the T.V. all alone in my evening gown with a glass of wine. Hey, that will still be ok, right?!?
