The above picture is my beautiful daughter, Addison. She is the reason I am celebrated today. I am her mother and I am the luckiest mama in the world.
-------------------------------------------
I AM THE KIND OF MOTHER WHO................
.....doesn't mind being asked to draw a sunshine 500 times.
.....loves to have my daughter as my alarm clock. Hearing "Mama" in the morning starts my day in the best way.
.....can't stand to do laundry but has a smile on her face when folding those little clothes.
.....keeps every little memory of my daughter tucked in a chest or closet. I keep so many things because they are precious to me and I want to keep those memories forever.
.....will rock my baby girl as long as it takes to get her to close those little eyes.
.....melts when those little arms are wrapped around my neck.
.....cherishes every second I am with her.

I love my daughter so much and she was such a gift to me. I am celebrated today but it's all because of that little girl named Addison.

Taking you back. My journey to motherhood.

It started out with just us. Here's Ryan and me on our last (pre-pregnancy) trip. We were in the Dominican Republic.

Here we are on a scuba trip to Florida. I had just found out I was pregnant. I was in the process of getting my scuba certification but couldn't finish because I found out I was pregnant!!! We had this trip planned forever but Ryan still went diving. He had a great time. I just hung out in the boat and enjoyed the sunshine. I still have to work on that certification.

6 months pregnant. Emma was feeling the baby kick here.

In labor here. Minutes away from going to the hospital.
My baby girl is here!
I am a mother.
Sweet baby girl born 4.18.06

Sleepy time! I better not forget my sweet Jett, too.

Addison and Grandma Roberts.

My Grandma "Ria"

I love my Grandma. I call her "Ria". It's a name I came up with all by myself. I can say Grandma but I prefer Ria. Here we are still in our pajamas cuddling. I miss her. I also miss my other Grandma (Roberts), too. I visited my other grandma at her farm. I helped her herd sheep and feed the cows. It was so much fun. I miss her, too.

Papa and Ria

My Grandpa and Grandma. AKA - Papa and Ria. I love them so much. I got to see my Grandma and Grandpa Roberts (aka Grandpa and Ria also) while there, too, but I don't have the pictures. Stay tuned. Soon to be posted.
Silly Papa. We like to stick our tongues out.

Mexican fun with my friends

What a great dinner in Illinois. We went to a great Mexican dinner in the town my dear friend, Val, lives. Val's husband, Neil, and the kids were all there, too. My old neighbor's, Vickie and Randy came, too, with their daughter, Chloe. Can't believe how much Chloe has grown!!! What fun! Thank you,Val, for letting us stay with you. Thank you, Noah, for letting us have your bed. :) I miss you guys.

Best of Friends

Maia and Addison just loved each other and they played so much. Here they are holding hands. Maia lives in Illinois. SOOOOOO far away. It makes me sad. No matter what the distance, I believe they'll always be best of friends!!
AAAWWWW!
Noah is my buddy. I love playing with him.
Maia likes to fix my hair. We were playing "beauty day" here.
