Crawfish baby!!!
We had a family trip this past weekend. We headed to Breaux Bridge, Louisiana for a Crawfish Festival and then a Crawfish boil at a friend's house. We had lots of fun. Addison tried on this adorable crawfish bonnet at the festival. She's our little "Crawfish half pint"
Ryan's friend, David, invited us to the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge and asked that we come to his house for a Backyard Crawfish Boil. Addison was so interested in the crawfish. Daddy showed her the crawfish up close before they were boiled. She wanted to pet them. It was cute.
She wanted to hold them, too.
Then, she wanted to play with them.
But, daddy showed her how they can pinch.
Let's put them back in here before someone gets hurt.

Crawfish, corn, sausage, mushrooms and potatoes. Boy, was it SPICEY!!!
Addison wanted to try it so bad. She was making her grunting noise. The noise she makes to say "give that to me....that looks good". So, we gave her one.
She didn't even give us a chance to peel it for her. She was sucking on the spicey shell. It was so spicey but she didn't make a face at all. She loved it. She is turning into a true southerner!

Then she started to feed Elmo.
Lots of Zydeco and Cajun music. Lots of dancing.
Lots of people playing washboards at the festival.
Sooo many people dressed the part for the festival.
They REALLY took this festival serious. :)
My first parade and boy was it fun!! It was a Crawfish Festival parade and they threw lots of beads. I caught some and they look so pretty on me.
